Lymington, Hampshire
Dogs welcome year-round on most sections. Small seasonal restriction near cafe area in summer.
Beach Overview
Lepe Beach is a long stretch of shingle and sand on the Solent coast, looking across to the Isle of Wight. The beach is managed by Hampshire County Council as a country park and offers a mix of shingle shore, sandy patches at low tide and fascinating wartime history.
Why Dogs Love It
Lepe is wonderful for dogs because of its space and variety. At low tide, firm sand stretches for hundreds of metres, perfect for running. The rock pools at the eastern end provide exploration, and the shallow Solent water is ideal for paddling. The country park grassland behind the beach offers additional off-lead space.
