Swaledale is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt of the Yorkshire Dales, and this circular walk from the village green at Reeth explores the valley's lead mining heritage, wildflower meadows and dramatic limestone scenery.

The route follows the River Swale before climbing through hay meadows bursting with wildflowers in June and July. The mining remains on the hillside tell the story of the dale's industrial past. The views down the valley are outstanding.

Reeth has a large village green, several dog-friendly pubs and a welcoming atmosphere. Dogs love the open spaces and river access on this walk.
