Dog Amenities
Baysbrown Farm sits in the heart of Great Langdale, surrounded by some of the finest fell walking in the Lake District. The National Trust campsite occupies riverside meadows beneath the towering peaks of the Langdale Pikes, with Crinkle Crags and Bowfell rising to the west.
Dogs are welcome and this is an exceptional site for walking dogs. You can climb Bowfell, Crinkle Crags, Pike of Stickle or Harrison Stickle directly from your tent. The Old Dungeon Ghyll pub is a five-minute walk along the valley and welcomes muddy dogs and walkers with equal enthusiasm.
The River Brathay flows past the site, providing swimming for dogs (and brave humans). Facilities are well-maintained but intentionally basic to preserve the setting. There is no shop or electric hook-ups.
