Wild Camping on Britain's Most Westerly Peninsula
Ardnamurchan Campsite sits on the remote Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most westerly point of the British mainland. The site has spacious grass pitches with views across the Sound of Mull to the islands, and is surrounded by wild moorland and empty beaches.
Dogs are welcome on all pitches and in the camping pods. The site is unfenced on the seaward side, giving direct access to the rocky shore. The remoteness means there are very few other people around, and dogs can explore the coastline freely.
The peninsula offers extraordinary walking along empty beaches, through oak woodland and across wild moorland. Otters, eagles and red deer are regular sights. The nearest shop is 12 miles away, so bring supplies.
