The Shipwrights Arms is a proper local pub tucked away from Padstow's busy harbourfront. With flagstone floors, low beams and a log fire in winter, it has the authentic atmosphere that many Cornish pubs have lost to modernisation. Dogs are treated as honoured guests here.

The pub serves Sharp's Doom Bar and rotating guest ales alongside a straightforward menu of pub classics made with local ingredients. The pasties are legendary among locals. In summer, the small courtyard garden catches the evening sun and is a pleasant spot to sit with a drink.
