The Stag on the River sits beside the River Wey in Godalming, a short drive from Guildford. The pub has a large riverside garden where dogs can explore while their owners enjoy locally brewed ales and wood-fired pizzas.
The garden runs down to the water's edge, and dogs regularly take a paddle in the shallows. Inside, the pub is warm and traditional with exposed brick, wooden beams and a large fireplace. Dogs are welcome in the bar area.
The pub is popular with walkers from the nearby North Downs Way and Greensand Way, both of which pass through the area.
