Dartmoor Dog Grooming is a purpose-built grooming salon on the edge of Totnes serving dogs from across South Devon. Groomer and salon owner Emma Blackwell has over a decade of experience and holds City & Guilds Level 3 qualifications in dog grooming.
The salon offers full grooms, clip and scissor work, hand-stripping for wire-coated breeds, de-shedding treatments and puppy introduction sessions. A dedicated matted coat service helps dogs that have got tangled during moorland walks.
Based in a converted barn with underfloor heating, the salon provides a warm and quiet environment. Emma uses Wildwash natural products and takes a calm, patient approach. Dogs often fall asleep on the grooming table, which Emma considers the best compliment.

My dog has a badly matted coat. Can you help?
Yes, we offer a specialist matted coat service. We assess each case individually and work with the dog at their pace. Some severely matted coats may need to be clipped short for the dog's comfort.
What products do you use?
We use Wildwash natural shampoos and conditioners which are free from parabens, phosphates and sulphates. They are gentle on sensitive skin.
