Dog Amenities
Kent Canine Academy is a well-established dog training school operating from a purpose-built training barn near Canterbury. Head trainer Mark Davies is a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor with over 20 years of experience training dogs for obedience, agility and working disciplines.
The academy runs a comprehensive class programme from puppy socialisation through to competitive obedience and agility. Classes are held indoors in the heated training barn, which means training continues year-round regardless of weather. An outdoor paddock is used for recall practice and agility courses in warmer months.
The academy also offers a popular Adolescent Dog programme for 6-18 month old dogs going through the "teenage" phase, addressing common issues like selective deafness, over-excitement and pulling on the lead.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer agility classes?
Yes, we run agility classes from foundation level through to competition standard. Dogs should have completed our basic obedience course (or equivalent) before starting agility.
What is the Adolescent Dog programme?
A targeted 6-week course for dogs aged 6-18 months dealing with typical teenage behaviours: ignoring recall, pulling on the lead and over-excitement. It bridges the gap between puppy class and adult training.
