Edinburgh Canine Company is a premium dog walking service in Edinburgh, offering daily group walks on Arthur's Seat, Holyrood Park, Cramond Beach, the Pentland Hills and the Water of Leith. Founded by qualified animal behaviourist Kirsty MacPherson, the service takes a thoughtful approach to group composition and walking routes.
Dogs are assessed and placed into compatible walking groups based on size, energy level and play style. Kirsty and her small team walk a maximum of 4 dogs per group and rotate routes to keep walks interesting and mentally stimulating.
The service includes pick-up and drop-off, post-walk towel-down, a daily walk diary with photos, and seasonal extras like cooling mats in summer and paw balm in winter.

How are walking groups formed?
Every dog has an initial assessment where we evaluate size, energy level, play style and temperament. Dogs are then placed into compatible groups, which we adjust if dynamics change over time.
What are the seasonal extras?
In summer, dogs get cooling mats in the van and access to water play. In winter, we apply paw balm after walks to protect against salt and ice. Year-round, every dog gets a post-walk towel-down.
