Shropshire Hills Boarding is a licensed boarding kennels in the AONB at Church Stretton, at the foot of the Long Mynd. The kennels are run by retired vet nurse Diane Marsh and her partner, who bring professional-grade care to a small, personal service.

The facility has eight spacious kennel runs with heated sleeping areas and private outdoor yards. Dogs enjoy two walks daily on the Long Mynd and surrounding hills, with the route varying based on weather and the dog's fitness level.

Diane's veterinary nursing background means she is comfortable administering medications, managing post-operative recovery dogs and accommodating dogs with health conditions. A veterinary practice is five minutes away for emergencies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you look after dogs recovering from surgery?

Yes, Diane's veterinary nursing background means we can provide post-operative care including restricted exercise, medication administration and wound monitoring.

How far are the daily walks?

Walk distance and terrain are tailored to each dog. Fit dogs enjoy longer routes on the Long Mynd, while older or less active dogs take shorter, flatter walks in the valley.
