Delamere Forest is Cheshire's largest area of woodland and one of the best dog-friendly walking spots in the North West. This circular route takes you through a mix of coniferous and broadleaf woodland, past sandstone trails and around Blakemere Moss.

The well-maintained paths are suitable for year-round walking, though some sections can be muddy after rain. Dogs are welcome throughout the forest and there are plenty of quiet areas for off-lead exercise. The Forestry England car park has good facilities including toilets and a cafe.

The forest is home to a variety of wildlife including deer, so keeping your dog under close control near the deer management areas is important. There are several waymarked trails of different lengths, making it easy to tailor your walk.
