The Mountain Cafe is a beloved Aviemore institution, known for its enormous breakfasts, homemade cakes and genuinely dog-friendly atmosphere. The cafe sits above the main street with views towards the Cairngorms, and every table seems to have a dog beneath it.
Dogs are welcome on the ground floor where water bowls are always available. The food is hearty and locally sourced: full Scottish breakfasts, homemade soups, stacked sandwiches and a legendary cake selection. The coffee is excellent.
This is the place to fuel up before a mountain day or warm up after one. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff make dogs and their owners feel completely at home.
